CAPSULES
Capsules are solid dosage
forms in which the drug is enclosed In either
hard or soft soluble container or shells.These shells are usually formed
from gelatin, however they may also made of starch or other suitable substances. They are of
various shapes and sizes, and contain a single dose of one or more active
ingredients. They are intended for oral
administration. Capsules are usually intended to be administered orally by
swallowing them whole. Occasionally, capsules may be administered rectally or
vaginally.
